Matthew 20:1-2

Matthew 20:1-2 *There’s a first for everything, I suppose. Yesterday, for the first time, I evidently had a technical difficulty. I am pretty sure I know what happened, and I think I can prevent it. Needless to say, although I did post yesterday, the post was deleted.
1: Many of the parables of Christ in connection with the kingdom have much to do with business. This is due to the fact that, during this present church age, the relationship between Jesus and the believer is much like that of an employer and employee. He gives the tools and resources, and we do the work.
2: The landowner specifically agrees with the hired workers for a penny a day. This was the standard wage for a day of labor, the Roman denarius. It was worth more than a ‘penny’ and was exactly what these workers would normally expect to make in a day.

In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I pray and praise You, Amen.
