Matthew 20:6
This was 5 or 6 PM! Obviously, there was not much time left in the day to work. As the vineyard owner says, these people had been idle all day. surely they could have found some sort of gainful employment before then. It is implied here that it was probably their fault that they had been so idle. But, the man talks to them and does not pass them up, though they were the less desirable.
