Mark 10:38

Mark 10:38
We generally don’t know exactly what we are asking for. We have trouble knowing what we want. This is because we don’t know everything. James and John knew that they wanted to throw in with Christ all the way. But at this time they were only thinking of the glory that might deserve, and not the sacrifice.
Jesus, on the other hand, does not have this problem. He knows what he wants. And he knows what we need, and what we really would want if we knew to want it. He asked this question here to help James and John understand what they really should be thinking.

Heavenly Father, thank you for always working for our good. You are so kind to us. You love us genuinely. Thank you! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I pray and praise you, Amen.
