Mark 15:12 “Pilate answered and said to them again, “What then do you want me to do with Him whom you call the King of the Jews?”
Pilate could see where this was going and wanted to be clear on the chosen course of action. He needed all of the cards on the table so that he could consider his choices carefully. He had no desire to execute an innocent man. Yet, getting the Jews too stirred up could be, for him, professional suicide.
Heavenly Father, you already know our choices before we make them. Your understanding of our thoughts is beyond our conception. You don’t just know us, you made us. Thank you for making your will plain to us. You could have done it differently. But you are wiser than the wisest of us, and your knowledge is higher than ours. We will praise you forever! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I pray and praise you, Amen.
