Luke 2:11 “For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”
Notice the order here. He is a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. The Jews understood a lot about the Messiah, but they did not yet fully know how the Messiah would save His people. Beyond this, the angel did not proclaim Christ as prophet, preist, or king. He is all three, most certainly. But, the focus here is on His role as our Savior.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the Savior! We will praise You for ever for Your plan of redemption. Your wisdom in orchestrating it all is so amazing. In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ I pray and praise You, Amen.
