Satan always works for his own benefit. It would be of no use to Satan to cast out his own followers, the demons. The scribes were so jealous of the popularity of Christ, and so unwilling to accept the truth, that they turned to ignorant rantings to discredit the Lord.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, you alone can make our hearts whole by Christ. You alone can give us the truth that we need. You alone can forgive our sin and heal our brokenness. May we always turn to you for help! You can revive us. You can make us stronger. You can take our weakness and fear and give us life and peace. You are the Source of all hope! Without you, we can do nothing. Please, dear father, give us revival! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I pray and praise you, Amen.
