Matthew 12:25

Matthew 12:25
Before this amazing argument against the reasoning of the Jewish leaders, we are told that Jesus knew thier thoughts. This is also something the devil cannot do. He may not always know what someone is thinking. He is an exceptionally good guesser, but he cannot read everyone’s thoughts. Those who invite him to do so may indeed be in that danger. However, by and large, the devil is forced to guess. Jesus, on the other hand, knows everything.
The argument here may not seem airtight. Satan’s minions might, some would think, able to rebel against him. However, Jesus is making it clear that his power against demonic forces was absolute If he were against the devil he would be a match for he himself, not some minions. Thus, he makes it clear that his power most definitely did not come from the devil.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word. It is great to have something we can look to for an understanding of You. We can never know You too well. Thank You for making Yourself know to us. May we always seek after knowing You. Oh Father, You are quite a subject! If we spend our entire lives studying You, we will still only just begin to see how majestic and good and wonderful You are. Give us a sense of Your personality and desires through Your Word. Knowing You is such a worthwhile pursuit! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I pray and praise You, Amen.

Prayer Requests: Pray for three families that just lost loved ones.
