And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and comes back to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.

Seven is no magic number here. The point is that frequency is not a consideration. Genuine repentance is all that is required for genuine forgiveness. The important thing is the life that is at stake.
